Well, that is better than a wood cabinet and not everybody wants to spend $800 plus. However, with that said, you can get a sentinel 10 gun safe at Walmart for around $275 which is much better than this and really the cheapest I would go. Bolt it to the floor in a closet where there is not much room to move around and it will deter most thieves.
If a person wants to spend in the 700-1000 range they should look at Steelwater safes. Better than Liberty in my opinion.
But honestly, with time and determination you can get into any safe. Even the $5000 ones.

Kamikaze Krunch says:

okay, so whats the difference between and SG dial vs this one on the stack on.

EvendimataE says:

how about just buy a job box

TALIZ0RAH says:

Regardless, I am probably going to get this safe, it is affordable as a college student. Later in life when I am more financially stable I will get a nicer and bigger safe and turn this into a ammunition storage container. At the moment, all i have is bunch of guns that I either inherited or bought myself sitting in a closet, only the most valued ones actually have a case with a lock on them. This is better than nothing at the moment and I can get it for 70 bucks. Throw everything in there, make it heavy, mount to the wall and floor and it would do more to deter your average break in than a bunch of guns in bags with carrying handles …

Adam Wienieski says:

Thanks for the review, nobody likes cheap China junk. Here’s the problem; if your thief has time there are brute force attacks (with power tools) that easily defeat $5,000+ safes. All you get with any safe is protection from children and the local smash and grab meth head. A Rigid storage chest from Home Depot works great.

Lou Libra says:

Thanks for the information and advise. Yeah, that’s a problem with the low end quality stuff,  especially  when the owner does not bolt it against a wall and to the ground, heck ! that is like doing 1/2 the work in advance for a burglar!  Making it easy to knock over for easier prying  open with a crow bar…or to carry it away at under 125 lbs. They are popular in up-stair dwellings because they are easier to carry up the stairs compared to 500+ lb real gun safe. That is where having a DOJ compliant cheap “safe” at  least helps to deny easy access to kids.

Eric Langlois says:

Was thinking about an AMSEC or Sturdy safe . The redhead 51 I have now was flooded . Upon pulling out all the wet sheet rock , thats when I found out how big a POS the red head really is .

Texas Jim says:

Great review.

MONEYBAGS603 says:

ALL GUN SAFES UNDER 2K ARE BUILT CHEAP! THEY ARE MORE FOR FIRE PROTECTION AND GRAB AND GOS….TRUST ME YOU CAN GET INTO ANY SAFE IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME. I PUT MINE AGAINST A WALL SO YOU CANT GET ANY LEVERAGE AND HAVE CASH INSIDE A FIREBOX INSIDE THE GUN SAFE…BOLT THAT SHIT TO THE FLOOR. IF YOUR GOING TO HAVE 100K WORTH OF STUFF IN YOUR SAFE, THAN YES BUY A 10K VAULT

andrew geary says:

If someone wants in a safe they will get in. I could get in a Liberty safe in 15min. Safes are just to deter the thief it wont stop them if there dedicated. Everyone just focuses on the door but bottom line u want in a safe dont go threw the door go threw the side the easy part people dont think about.

Rocketlockopener says:

Hi Wayne these safes have a key override
Like a lot of stack on electronic safes do

evile1174 says:

Stack on are made in USA, not China.

AlchyMoparFreak says:

If you live in a high crime area, tell people you have a lot of guns, and are never home, then this probably would not be a good buy. For everyone else, I’m sure it’s fine. It’s better than hanging it on a wall rack, or putting in a wooden cabinet.

BriGuy Sixty2 says:

I have this safe.. I live in an in law apartment attached to my buddies house.. He or his wife are always home.. I look at it like if the thief shows up to my place with crowbars and power tools this thing will slow him down long enough to get caught.. I realize it’s not Fort Knox but it keeps my guns fairly safe from the typical “junkie” who climbs into windows when people aren’t home looking for something to pawn.. That is the case with 99% of the break-ins in my area.. If perps come in Ocean 11 style then they’re gonna get my AR15 and company no matter what.. I like this safe..

bench175 says:

What is the quality safe for $350-400?

vde says:

Great pointers, thank you Wayne!

Nicholas Aarons says:

That’s Unreal How Crap That Unsafe Is…! N.

OldenCrow says:

Watch his other video, it took Wayne forever to pry the door open. If mounted against a left wall there is no room to pry. Wayne’s videos sold me on buying this safe! If you have big bucks buy something else. For the 95% of us this is a tremendous safe!

enigmarocker says:

wait…youre saying for $400 I can get a quality gun safe? which one please?

Vanilla Guerilla says:

is it possible to change the guts on a stack on safe and make it a SG TITAN from a stack on combination??

O4 HEMI says:

do you have a recommended gun safe in the $650 range?

charredskeleton says:

OK who’s your thief ? A pro can crack that safe no problem hell so could an amature. A meth head looking for their next fix or a group of disorganized kids could very well be stopped by such a container. question .Who’s hitting your house? Gathering all of your valuables in one place is foolish anyway. $50,000 cash should be kept in a bank as should a car or house title . A couple old hunting rifles and your grandma’s brown diamond earrings are probably safe in that box. Because the person who can crack it is looking for a bigger score.

Kevin B says:

What would be better? A Liberty safe?

Rocketlockopener says:

I know that’s its a combo dial just wondering
If it had a key bypass as some do.

Johnny Kim says:

what do you recommend for just 1 rifle and 1 handgun?

John W. Peterson says:

Your garage looks like a turd. Time for a clean up.
